Bible Clubs in Bozovici & Sopotul Vechi

We visited an area south of Timisoara on Oct. 2-4, 2009. On Saturday we held 2 Bible Clubs. The first in the Baptist Church in Bozovici. We had 11 children attending. Our story was on "How do we receive the free gift of Salvation". I used the scripture in John 3:1-16 and told how Nicodemus went to inquire of Jesus and Jesus told him of the new birth everyone has to experience in order to be saved. I explained to the children how they can ask Jesus into their hearts and he will change them. We had a craft activity and refreshments for them.

On the way to the next village, Sopotul Vechi, we went through beautiful mountains and came across a family traveling in the manner which is still common in this area, by horse and wagon.

In Sopotul Vechi we had 21 children and I shared the same story with them.

I want to share with you how amazing God is in His provisions for us. I had prepared 32 gift bags for both villages. I based this on the number we had in attendance last time we were there. I had added a couple of extra because you never know. So we got there and there were 11 children in the first church. We got to the second church and we had 13 children to begin with and they kept coming in and we ended up with 21. So that was 32 children for both churches and we had 32 bags for them. Isn't God good?
We also took some boxes of clothes for them from the container ministry. It is a blessing to be able to share with ones who need and appreciate the efforts.
On Sunday morning, Buddy shared his testimony in the church at Bozovici. After the service the congregation greeted us and said they will wait until we return again next year. They appreciate us coming and working with the children. Daniel Fisteag is the pastor of these churches. His wife is Raluca and they have an 8 month old son, Andrei.
