Donations for the Needy

We spent the morning sorting through boxes getting shoes and clothes ready to distribute to several different villages in the Arad area. Donations of good used and new clothing is appreciated by the people. Thanks to everyone who has given to help the needy.

Below is a picture of one of our Romanian friends, Angi with her new baby Aliss. Aliss was born in Dec. 2009. We are pictured here with a blanket for Aliss which was made by the ladies group of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dothan, Alabama. Angi appreciated the gift. Thank you ladies for your time and love that went into each blanket.

Aliss is very happy at the moment. She is all smiles.

Day in Venice, Italy

April 16, we went to Italy to buy food and ministry supplies for our teams and ministry events. While we were there we took one day and went by train to visit Venice, Italy. It is a beautiful old city. As you see below the water canal that goes around the city, it was a beautiful day for sightseeing.

We are on the bridge that crosses over from the train station to the old city.

Just for fun! Buddy and his new friend.

San Marco Square. Beautiful old buildings and lots of people.

Returned to Romania March 11, 2010

We returned to Romania on March 11, to begin our 9th year of missionary ministry. Our calendar is filling up quickly. Below are some pictures of an outing to Moneasa we took the younger youth of Agrisu Mare on April 8. This was during their Spring break from school. I taught them a Bible lesson titled "Being a Chrisitian, Living as a Christian". There were 14 children and 6 adults. We also had a barbecue with chicken, fries and of course "Mici", which you have to have at every Romanian Barbecue. It is a seasoned ground meat rolled up like a sausage link. It is quite good.
We had a good day with the youth in spite of the weather. It was cool but nice when the sun came out, then cool again when it clouded up and rained. But then the sun came out again, so God was good and smiled down on us.
